After getting a bit of a nudge from Mr. @tonyb, I spent some time yesterday re-organizing my work space to prepare for some potential sonic excursions in the near future. I wanted to set things up to be able to accommodate the two of us. It's been over 2 years since I've bothered to do anything in the realm of sound, but I have spent the past year getting a lay of the land in terms of what's happening on the fringes of contemporary progressive music in the hopes that I might find some territory less traveled. I kinda have a sense of some starting points now, so we'll see what happens. I did all the setup and wiring yesterday, so this afternoon I'll be running systems checks to make sure there's no technical issues. It's a modest little home studio setup, but it's pretty versatile and there's a lot that you don't see given what's lurking in my DAW. Plus I have a drawer full of micro gadgets and other things tucked away out of sight. But the basics are all in place and I've made sure it's all accessible in terms of stuff that can be plugged in and connected.
