@jessamyn I either had it or had it on an extensive loan back in the day. I was disappointed that I wasn't able to find it in what remains of my tape collection.

I love how they would sometimes adapt LP album art to fit a cassette's aspect ratio. I know someone compared responsive web design to this design trend from back then.

maybe 6 or 7 years ago, they released their discography for free on the web - it was absolutely massive for me to hear this and “de la soul is dead” for the first time. i’d missed them the first time around (partly due to my age, partly due to my small-town isolation) but oh boy was it a delight to experience these for the first time as an adult.
