Trimp's gonna ruin that, too. No telling how many bears will have to be put down due to no trash collection

What a great photo! My gf & I made it a point to visit all of Utah's national parks a few years ago, and it was awesome.
i so wanted to see Yosemite when i was there in early DEC but the road was closed, i ended up going through the Carson pass instead. amazing country
@KMAlexander This week it was beautiful. I never even put on a heavy jacket and the trails were really light on the easy hikes. And barely noticeable on the harder hikes. There are trade offs like Mirror Lake is not full but you get to see the Fire Falls. You need a little more gear for the hike in case it suddenly gets cold but after ten minutes walking on a tough hike your down to a tshirt anyway. Totally worth it.
@tristanp It's really incredible. Just looking around from the parking lot was mind blowing.
@Lockjaw Mount Zion is the best!
@dapete @m3moellering it was definitely a conversation while we were here but if you want to forget about it all for a while, getting out on the the trail definitely does some good for your head.

I'd imagine the states could step up, hire all the folks who were fired/applying and police the parks since it serves their interests. Who'd be there to stop them? But fucking the national parks while suggesting you'll have you face carved into the mountain next to TR sets a new low. I really wish there was a bottom with these guys.

I think I'd have fonder feeling of Yosemite visiting in the off-season. I enjoyed my time there, but it was so crowded in June that it took a bit to connect with its wildness.
