@roonie they didn't actually make it to space. the Kármán line is an arbitrary boundary that is part way in to the thermosphere, and it was chosen as a regulatory boundary between aircraft and spacecraft.
personally, I think halfway through the thermosphere should be considered "space" - about 400km up, 3x the altitude of this POS flight for bezos's fiancee's hen night.
It's the bringing them back part that gets up my nose.
