We’re going hiking up in the Sierras in a few weeks (Rock Creek Lake, above Tom’s Place), and the boots are to protect her feet. Last year while hiking at the same place, the granite cut up her feet pretty bad. This is the solution.
She took to them without much resistance and they seem to work. She was on the top of her toes for the whole hike this morning, when usually she shows some fatigue. I’m sad that maybe that fatigue was avoidable paw pain.
About a mile in I think she figured out the boots kept her safe from stickers and gave her some extra courage when tromping through dead brambles.
Been considering some of these for Uly. His curly hair attracts cleavers whenever we tromp through the forest, and then I have to spend 20 minutes brushing them all out.
