Charlotte is NC's largest city and happens to be on the NC/SC state line. If it wasn't for that I don't think anybody in North Carolina would think about SC frequently enough to have any feelings about it.

All the New England lines should be pointing to Massachusetts. Even Massachusetts.

I don't know any Washingtonians who have issues with Oregon? I know plenty of Portlanders who have weird issues with Seattle, though.

I think WA enjoys OR's company and exchanges healthy sibling razzing. We should be pointing at Idaho.

I guess I should also note that the only people in Pennsylvania who think about New Jersey at all are the ones in Philadelphia or along PA's eastern state border. In the rest of the state people's judgements are biased by football rivalries instead.

I'd say AL is perhaps top for GA; unless you are in South Ga.. which is culturally about the same as Northern FL, you can ignore the whole State pretty easily.

@bencmeissner no arrow towards Rhode Island, either. People probably find it better to point the animus at larger states that are more problematic.

@BMK I think it’s unfair that more states can’t border New Jersey so that they can point at it.
