No, listen, and forgive the story. A woman who had a farm, and raised pigs, worked in one of the dietary offices, where I worked. She was thrifty, harvesting food waste to feed her pigs from there, (a whole other set of scary realities.) OK, so the stapler in the sixth floor office broke, the Acme, stapler. It broke on the weekend when I was working, I left her a note. On Monday I had reason to be in the office, when she pulled the original box for the stapler out of a drawer, she had put it there 25 years before, in case she ever needed the lifetime guarantee. She took the box down to the secretaries, and they mailed, or called it in. Acme replaced it "for free." Twenty five years ago it may have been a buck and a quarter, 1996 I don't know the cost, the involvement of 4 staffers in the replacement, on our end. The capital and labor just boggle the mind, and the time.
